Subaru is putting more chips on the "active lifestyle" bet. This year they have rolled out a new CUV in the form of the XV Crosstrek, a vehicle they'll hope will attract a different clientele than the Outback and Forester but in a similar package.
All trims are powered by a 2.0L SUBARU BOXER four-cylinder engine with 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. A 5-speed manual or CVT automatic with manual mode are your transmission options, both sending power to all four wheels thanks to Subaru symmetrical full-time all-wheel drive.
Trims include Touring, Sport, and Limited.
In Touring trim, features include 6-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA audio with auxiliary input and MediaHub (iPod/USB input), Bluetooth phone integration and streaming audio, retractable cargo cover, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and brake override, electric power steering, front armrest console storage, automatic cimate control with A/C, steeling wheel integrated cruise control, map lights, tilt/telescopic steering, dual vanity mirrors, power windows with driver's auto up/down, body colour door handles and power adjustable heated mirrors, automatic headlights, roof rails, 17-inch aluminum wheels, rear privacy glass, wiper de-icer, rear wiper, fog lights, 4.3-inch colour multi-function display with steering wheel-mounted controls, ECO gauge, airbags (front, front seat side, side curtain), LATCH, anti-theft system, keyless entry with panic alarm, traction control, chrome interior door handles, cloth door trim, floor mats, cloth seating, 6-way manually adjustable driver's seat, 4-way manually adjustable passenger seat, heated seats, rear centre armrest with cupholders, titanium interior finish, and 60/40 split rear seat.
Sport trim adds HID headlights, rear spoiler, sunroof, and leather shifter and steering wheel.
Limited trim adds voice activated, in-dash GPS navigation system with 6.1-inch high-resolution touch screen, AM/FM/CD/XM/MP3/WMA/DivX, WMV, MP4, SMS text messaging capability, XM NAVTraffic (subscription required), rear-view camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, chrome exterior door handles, and leather seats. Limited deletes rear spoiler.
